A £600 Annual Premium Example
The True Cost of Personal Cover vs Relevant Life
Out of dividends you have already paid tax on
Usually an allowable business expense
Same cover. Roughly half the profit. That gap is the whole session.
Illustration only. Assumes corporation tax at 25%, higher-rate dividend tax at 33.75%, and that the premiums qualify as an allowable business expense. Your own figures depend on your circumstances and are covered on the call.
Who this is for
If one of these is you,
the session pays for itself
Single-director company
You pay for life cover from your personal account, out of income you've already paid tax on.
Two or more shareholders
Nothing is written down about what happens to a shareholder's shares if they die. Their spouse inherits your business partner's vote.
One irreplaceable person
If one specific person was out for six months, revenue would stall. Nothing currently covers that.
What we cover
Fifteen minutes, questions included
No slides full of small print, no jargon you have to decode afterwards. Here is the running order.
- 0–1 min
Introduction to ExecutiveLife
Who we are, who we advise, and why business protection for company directors is all we do.
- 1–3 min
What is relevant life insurance
The single-director alternative to death-in-service, in plain English, and the specific conditions that make the premiums allowable.
- 3–6 min
How the tax savings are realised
Worked examples on real numbers: what the same cover costs out of dividends versus out of company profit, at different profit levels.
- 6–15 min
Q&A and the questions we are asked most
The answers every director wants, then your own situation. We stay on the call until every question in the room has been answered.
This is a what-and-why session, not a how-to. You leave knowing which policies apply to you and what they are worth — you do not leave with a pile of paperwork to work out on your own.
Live attendees only
Attend live and we build your Director Protection Audit
Everyone on the live call can have their own numbers run. It is not a recording bonus and we cannot do it afterwards — the audit is built from what you tell us on the call.
- A one-page summary of what your company can and cannot pay for
- Indicative premiums for relevant life, key person, shareholder protection and private medical
- The corporation tax and income tax position on each, on your profit level
- No obligation, and no charge — you keep the audit either way

Before you register
The questions directors actually ask
Is it actually free?
Yes. There is no charge to attend. We are paid by the insurer if you later take out cover through us, which is how the whole session can be free.
Is this a sales pitch?
It is a training session, and at the end we offer a no-obligation call to quote on your own numbers. That offer takes about a minute at the end. Everything taught in the session works whether you ever speak to us again or not.
Do I need my accountant on the call?
No. Most directors bring the session back to their accountant afterwards, which is exactly the right order — you will know the correct questions to ask.
I am a sole trader, not a limited company. Is it still relevant?
Partly. The income and family protection sections apply to you, but the company-paid tax treatment needs a limited company. If incorporating is on your list, the session will help you weigh it up.
How long is it really?
The taught content is 15 minutes and we hold that. Q&A runs as long as there are questions, typically another 15 minutes. You are welcome to leave at the 15-minute mark.
What happens to my details?
They are used to get you into the webinar and to follow up about business protection. We do not sell or share your data with third parties, and one click unsubscribes you from everything.
Last thing
The cover exists either way.Only the tax treatment is your choice.
The next session is Thursday 8 October at 1:30pm UK time. Registration closes when the room opens — we do not let people in late, because the first few minutes are the part that matters.
